This made a great Christmas present for the member of the family who loves classic cars and the people who drove them. Not only does this book tell the truth and put to rest urban legends, but it reveals facts that the ordinary car lover would not have a way of learning about.

An excellent expose of many myths...

This book is well written and interesting, but the focus is mostly on America and only occasionally on the rest of the world. However, the research seems first rate, and the chapter on "Our Lady of the Lake", the Bugatti which resided at the bottom of Lake Maggiori for many years, is fascinating.
