The man who broke into Auschwitz. When he was captured in France in 1940 Sergeant-Major Charles Coward launched his own private war against the Germans (although he was being held as a prisoner-of-war). For several years he was the most incredible amateur espionage and sabotage agent of World War Two, opposing the Nazis while sending back vital information to England. He escaped from captivity nine times and was, eventually, sent to Auschwitz III (a labour camp just five miles from Auschwitz II, the extermination camp). He carried guns and dynamite for the Polish underground movement, traded in dead bodies (by swapping the corpses of dead prisoners for Jewish prisoners, allowing the prisoners to escape) and, finally, he smuggled himself into Auschwitz where he witnessed the full horrors of the extermination camp. This is one of the most heroic and extraordinary stories of World War Two. Charles Coward fought the might of the Nazi army and won, his courage is testament to the indomitable human spirit facing overwhelming odds. At the Nuremberg War Crimes Trials Coward's testimony was sensational, allowing over 2,000 Auschwitz survivors to file lawsuits for compensations against their former oppressors.

Password is courage book

Suberb book on the true story Charles Coward's actual experiences and his heroic deeds in world War II while he was a prisoner of war in Auschwitz E715 camp. This book is a "must read". This book is a real page turner. One of the best that I have read on this aspect of WWII

Fascinating!

I remember first reading this book as I was growing up and being fascinated with the account of Sergeant Major Charles Coward's war time experiences as a prisoner of war. Having just re-read it, I still find it to be a fascinating account of what it was like for an NCO to be a P.O.W. throughout the war. Coward was keen on attempting to escape whenever he could,but there were times when as the "man of confidence" he had to set personal wishes aside to help maintain what small privileges he could for his men. Of particular interest were the details of Cowards time at a POW camp near Auschwitz where it seemed the Germans made little effort to deny what they were doing to the Jewish people. Coward even switched places with a concentration camp inmate for a night in an unsuccessful effort to try and find a British doctor supposedly being held captive. Included in the book are some details of post-war events including civil trials against I.G. Farben for their inhumane use of forced labour.

Very interesting. Amazing deeds of a WWII POWs - freeing Jews, escaping camp after camp. Great read for anyone into military history/biographies. Reminds me of Hogan's Heroes, in a way :)

Branko Ajzele was born on January 16th, 1983 in Osijek, Croatia. His high school and faculty education was in the field of electro-technology. He graduated at Faculty of Electrical Engineering, in Osijek in 2006. Although not directly related to IT, during his faculty days he fell in love with web-related technologies. Throughout his career he initially worked full time as a Computer Consultant and later as a full time IT System Administrator. After that he got hooked on programming. He has spent over six years learning and developing both desktop and web applications in different programming environments such as C#, Java, and later in PHP.

He is currently working as CTO / Magento Certified Developer Plus at a company called Inchoo. Inchoo specializes in building and delivering high quality e-commerce solutions mostly powered by the Magento eCommerce platform. At Inchoo he gained over 4 years of everyday Magento development and e-commerce project management experience. Additionally he is highly experienced with Zend Framework, Doctrine ORM, Symfony, and PHP in general. Besides web technologies, his latest interests turn lie in mobile platforms such as Android and iOS.

Useful if you need quick Magento Overview

Magento is a great product. But it's not like other e-commerce product. It doesn't have similar learning curve. That's why it's great to find a good book with know-how insights. I know couple of so-called Magento experts who doesn't know how to set products, attributes and similar tasks by-the-book.

This guidebook help s you get into Magento world, gives you a proper overview of fundamental Magento topics but I'm not sure who is targeted customer of this book. Webshop owner? Then he doesn't need template related topics. And I'm not sure is there any excellent book about Magento templating. Installation vs introduction

Chapter one starts with the installation of Magento. Installation of Magento should be straightforward and if you encounter any problems, the Magento website or different online resources are an excellent reference.

The book describes little parts of Magento and only touches the surface of the possibilities the software has. Items like simple products, attributes and attribute sets are described. Just to give you an impression, not the full details in what you can do with it. The book assumes you make a single website, single store web shop.

The book starts with: "this book is primarily intended for merchants starting their own new shop and developers completely new to the Magento eCommerce platform".

Sorry, but I don't agree. For a Magento introduction the book is good enough, but I would not use it for setting up a real web shop. In that case you just need something that covers Magento in more detail.

Not sure who this book is for...

While I welcome every new Magento book with open hands, I was left disappointed in the end with this one. No doubt that the covered topics are important for a merchant running a Magento shop, but I sincerely doubt that any store owner will be able to "build a shop" just by reading this book. It does not explain why some topics are covered and some left out and why some elements are explained in great details while other (with same importance) are barely mentioned if even. It's also worth saying that some explanations in the book are written in a weird way and can be misleading (like "Credit Memos" explanation under "Orders" section).

Overall, if you're looking for a Magento introduction book from a store owner point of view, this book solely won't do it. It's also hard to say if a common "who this book is for" reader will be able to follow and understand what exactly is going on in provided examples and how they're connected to each other.

MUST PLAYED-MUST HAVE

Well it's a cheap, well paged book for pianists and has 4 of the most beautifull pieces of piano
literature.(PLAY ALL OF THEM !!!!). I prefered this edition because the other one that has both
2 series of improptus and some other pieces (Alfred again) is too much money and you get nothing
more than this one here.(Except the improptu op 142,no 2 that is in the other set).

Good sheet music, great song.

Nothing special about this sheet music - the typical (good quality) print. Song is for intermediate to advanced pianists. I have several large books of classical music, and this song is not in any of them. I ordered the sheet music because it is a fantastic song and a must have for any pianist's repertoire.

The branch undertook various forms of civil rights activity from 1914 through the 1940s that later were mainstays of the 1960s movement. Nonviolent protest, youth activism, economic boycotts, marches on state capitols, campaigns for voter registration, and pursuit of anti-lynching cases all had test runs.

Remarkably, Baltimore's NAACP had the same branch president for thirty-five years starting in 1935, a woman, Lillie M. Jackson. Her work highlights gender issues and the social and political transitions among the changing civil rights groups. In Borders of Equality, Lee Sartain evaluates her leadership amid challenges from radicalized youth groups and the Black Power Movement. Baltimore was an urban industrial center that shared many characteristics with the North, and African Americans could vote there. The city absorbed a large number of black economic migrants from the South, and it exhibited racial patterns that made it more familiar to Southerners. It was one of the first places to begin desegregating its schools in September 1954 after the Brown decision, and one of the first to indicate to the nation that race was not simply a problem for the Deep South. Baltimore's history and geography make it a perfect case study to examine the NAACP and various phases of the civil rights struggle in the twentieth century

Awesome book! Not for beginners though

Recently welcomed a new baby girl into our household and was looking for songs to play for her on my guitar. I have been playing guitar off and on for about 15 years. I would consider myself intermediate to high-intermediate. I also grew up playing classical music (forced by my parents! but thank goodness they did it!!) so when i found this book it seemed like a match made in heaven!

Some notes:
- This book contains traditional music notation, chord notation, and guitar tab for each song
- This book does NOT show you how to play each chord. You will need a separate chord chart if you dont know all these chords (and there are some obscure ones here and there). You can often figure out what the chord is from the underlying tab though, since a lot of the music is just chords arpeggiated
- This book is NOT for beginner guitar players. If you are looking for something easier to play, look for books that say "3-chord songs" or have the word "beginner" in the title. The cover of this book makes it seem like these are easy songs to play but they are not (if you want to play the full tab. You could also just play the chords and then they would be easy, but some of the chords are complex/barre/etc).
- As the title suggests, if you arent comfortable playing fingerstyle than this book is not for you (unless you just want the chords)

Very Good book

Although they are children songs, not all the songs are that easy to learn. Its good because the songs sound nice and full but bad if you are looking for a simple note by note songbook. I like the assortment of songs and can't wait to play them for my daughter.

Needs a very simple improvement

I'm an advanced guitar player and I'm using this book as a teaching tool (fun songs late bloomers can learn and have fun with by playing songs for their kids at the same time). Not including the guitar chord diagrams in this book is a joke though, and I cant understand what the publisher was thinking by leaving them out. Chord diagrams at the top of a score is a huge time saver and necessary in helping a student understand the fingerpicking better, and thus learn faster. If you are a beginning to intermediate guitar player you will need a chord reference book with this... or just look for another book (my recommendation although I have not found one yet that I can recommend... sorry for that but when I do I will update); one thats not trying to skimp on ink and paper. Other than that the fingerpicking patterns are stock, but accurate (at least for the 5 or 6 songs I have been interested in playing).

Publisher has bogus titles with swear words on title page

The publisher of this book includes bogus titles and objectionable content on the title page. Clearly creative titles such as "Cursing ABC Coloring Book" and "How I Stole 5.6 Million from Walmart", there is also another bogus title with swear words. While not a prude, my wife ordered for one of her students and the title page was pointed out by his parent...

I thoroughly enjoyed this story about the lives of those living in the Burren of Ireland. When the elderly heir apparent to the chieftain died, the brother of the current chieftain arrives back in the area. A cousin with a pushy wife and a handsome son set their sights on becoming the heir apparent, add in a conniving man sent by Cardinal Wolsey from the English Court of Henry the 8th, an illegitimate son and his mother looking to better themselves - all added to the mix. A story every bit as entralling as the others in the series.

Yes, it gets a little formulaic after a while. But if you have an interest in history and the law and are of Irish heritage, then these books are a delightful treat. Sort of a medieval Maeve Binchy, with the focus on what is really a very interesting body of law.

Principios esenciales y bien desarrollados, los gráficos ayudan mucho a desarrollar los puntos y relaja la vista. Fue fácil de leer y muy entretenido. La traducción al español tiene algunos errores (por ser primera traducción).
Les recomiendo este libro.
Hay muchas cosas de este libro que me hubiera gustado me lo digan cuando tenía 15 años.
